This forum is created for the people who need help in creating different types of reports using java.
In past I have been working on creating reports using JSP and JDBC. But it was difficult to generate report in different format in one click. The solution is either pay to commercial report generator companies like Crystal Reports or Oracle Discoverer or do some research and make open source Jasper Report works. I started spending time to make Japer Report work.
This blog is created to present my experience in creating different types of reports using Jasper API and IReport as Jasper GUI. After doing some work around process, Jasper is working for me perfectly.
I am using both Beans and Result set to populate the reports. The reports also generated using jaspers Sub Report functionality. You can post any question regarding Jasper, Ireport in this blog and I will try to answer them.
